Have you read this....??????

It's excellent......... well worth a read even though it does go it to great detail about child birth!!!! If I didn't want any before it has definitely put me off!!!!

I don't think I've ever read a book so fast.... today I was very naughty & took an extra 10 mins on my tea break.... don't think anyone noticed...... I was enjoying reading it so much I just forgot about the time!!!!

I received a lovely parcel form MelMel on Tuesday, I tried to take a photo to share it with you but guess what???....... my batteries had ran out...again!!!

I'll try & get some tomorrow..... back on Sunday see you then......

  3. This book is brilliant. I've also read her other book 'Shadows of the Workhouse' which is just as good.

p.s Child birth isn't as bad as people say. I only just made it to hospital with my first (I was there 12 minutes to be exact) and my third made a really fast appearance on my dining room floor with hubby as midwife!

  4. I love redaing a good book and as I haven't read this book I will try to. It looks interesting. Don't let it put you having children as the memory of childbirth soon fades. If it didn't then we all would only have only one.

  5. Hiya,

I tell you what, this week all I've heard is children/child birth stories at work - they've all gone googaa! I tell you what, some of the stories are absolutely shocking!! I've decide, IF I ever decide to take the plunge I'm either paying to go private or going to France. Apparently the aftercare, support and advice they give is awesome!

Its so nice to have a like-minded blogger to chat to about these things! hehehe

Thanks for the comment abut the quilt! I use charm packs so don't do any of the cutting - that's the bit I hate!

  6. my dad's given me this book to read - it's been sitting on my shelf for ages, as I wasn't in the mood to read about childbirth last year! Will have to dig it out though as he thought it was great too (he grew up in the area she writes about, so has some personal connections to it). Thanks for reminding me about it!
