Valentine treats......

I'm back!!
I hope you all had a good week & a lovely Valentine's day. We don't do Valentine's day here but I hinted on Facebook that I had seen a lovely necklace & I got it!!!

Want a closer look?

Cute isn't it?? I love Victorian cats with bows :)
The only problem is I have a neck like Mike Tyson so it's really tight, I guess it's meant to be a choker but this is silly. Any ideas how I can make it bigger?

He brought it from one of my favourite Folksy shops........
Eilidh keeps tempting me with her beautiful jewellery.... I'm not a big jewellery fan but I keep finding things! I've just seen she's made earrings to match the necklace.....ooohhh I want!!!

This is my 2nd necklace.... the first can be found here .... I've also brought a stag brooch & earrings as well as a few Christmas presents.

In the garden today I spotted these....

Something to make me smile & remind us that Spring is on the way.... hooray!!!

OH update: after a stressful week OH seems to be getting better.... another hooray!!

Back soon

  1. Pretty necklace - I restring necklaces for people in the shop where I work, and a lady came in once and said exactly the same, her necklace was too small for her neck, so she chose some small glass beads and I restrung the necklace with a glass between each original bead.

  2. Maybe you could add a couple of light pink beads to go with the cats bow? If it only needs a little bit of extending, alternating near the picture would be nice as KC sugested.

  3. Lovely necklace! I have this same problem. I some times fit these (http://www.the-beadshop.co.uk/index.php/jewellery-findings/extension-chains/extension-chain-with-tear-drop-silver-plated.html) to my necklaces, but it depends if it has an attachment at each end that can be opened (like jump rings). It sometimes involves changing the clasp as well. Hope this helps. :)

  5. What a lovely necklace! No help with the size I'm afraid, other than restringing as others have mentioned, or perhaps adding a few chain links before the clasp x
