A day at the seaside!

Crikey..... what a fab day we had at the seaside!!!

Although the heavens opened while we unloaded the car.... the sun shone for most of the day & we had  lots of smiling customers coming through the door..... then the heavens opened again while we loaded... sod's law!!!

It was lovely to see all the other stall holders..... such a lovely bunch..... everyone is so friendly & happy to help each other.

Could have done better on the workshop front but hey oh...... I've learnt for next time.

I was chatting to a lady from a magazine who would like to do a feature on Make, Do and Mend & a man who might have some work for me so not all bad :)

I just had to treat myself to this lovely fella....

He was watching me all day.... I had promised myself I wouldn't spend any money this time but he's such a beauty!

So today I've been unpacking & planning my makes..... only 2 months to go until the next one!

Also the local shop has sold a few bits of mine so I need to keep on top of making :)

Have a good week..... fingers crossed for some sunshine!

  2. Well it may not have been perfect but you sound as though you still had a good time. Love the pooch, he is similar to one I purchased not too long ago. A bit of a Cath Kidston Stanley!

  5. Wish I could have come along but I was being a dutiful Aunt and taking my twin nephews swimming - sounds like I missed a good day... keep us posted for future events as I'm sure I'll get along to one eventually!

  6. What a cute little dog. Pity about the workshops...I would have thought they'd be popular with everyone wanting to learn to sew these days.

  7. love the flask above and glad Seaside Crikey went well - we were away so missed it, but shall look forward to the next one. Aren't those dancers in your photo good - Butterfly and I were entranced when we saw them in Exeter and it made me want to take up dancing again. Something I must see about now we are back from hols!
