Summer's here & that means a busy time ahead attending all the 1940's weekend popping up in Devon
Today we headed to Saltram House near Plymouth for the first ever Spitfire & Sweethearts event.
I was brave enough to wear my dress for the first time!
My brother came with his lovely little dog who seems to enjoy sitting on my lap!
He also brought his son who I don't seem to have a photo of..... whoops!!
We managed to grab a table in front of the entertainment tent & stayed there all afternoon. The entertainment was put on by The 1940's Roadshow
These ladies were fab..... Ice An A Slice..... me & Oscar even had a little dance!
My dad's favourite
You can't beat your mummys picnic..... yummy!
It was time for me & my special friend to walk off our lunch
The Spitfire was very loud, even though we weren't close when it started poor Oscar was not happy.
I had to make a mad dash across the field with him in my arms!
There was a selection of traders, I was thankful I didn't do this one as they all said that the whole weekend had been very slow. There's only so many vintage fairs you can go to!
We sat for 3 hours in the sunshine listening to the lovely music, it was a perfect afternoon..... apart from the fact I now have a beetroot forehead!
Let's hope they do it again next year.
Our next outing is the Dig for Victory show, it'll be a first for us. Let's hope it's a good one as it's a long journey.
Oh Josie-Mary, what a treat! Thank you for sharing and what a nice pooch!
