All change.....

My week off went so quickly & I didn't managed to do everything I wanted......
but I did have a rest which is what I needed.

However I changed my bedroom curtains

Before

Very cheap Argos curtains that I brought 6 years ago when we moved in..... they were a quick fix but have lasted well.

After
Some new posh Laura Ashley curtains!

I love this print & have brought a few rolls of wallpaper in different colours!

Before discounts these curtains would have cost £125 but I must say they're not a patch in quality to the £10 Argos ones..... although much prettier!
As you can see they let a lot of light through & are very thin.
The header cords also snapped when I gathered them!!!

Who would've thought???

Stay warm & safe in the wintery weather

  1. I recognise that print as we bought a footstool with that on top back in October. It was a bargain, returned by a customer as the fabric wasn't pattern matched on top (pretty basic mistake!) I didn't care as I've covered it with vintage barkcloth. My tip (if you're interested) is to get a cheap blackout roller blind from Ikea and fit that behind the curtains, then it'll be nice and dark. Stay cosy!

  2. Glad you had a good rest, I'm sure it was needed. Love the pattern of the new curtains but for the price I would have thought they would have been thicker! They do look very pretty though ;o) x

  3. Glad you had a good rest. I love the curtains, but as Lucy says bit expensive for not being lined. And as Hen says blackout roller blinds are good.

  4. You obviously needed the break much more than the chores!

The pattern is beautiful though so forget about the quality!

  5. You wake up with the dawn chorus anyway Joe. Soooo pretty and so worth it. I bought new curtains 3 months ago, they're still waiting to be lined oops. xx

  6. i love both pairs - the old and the new. The pattern on the LA ones are lovely, but I wouldn't be happy with all that light coming in - I need it pitch black. Black out lining is great though and not too expensive.

Thanks for the message on twitter - it wasn't good news, but I can't say too much on there yet, will update more after the weekend :(

  7. Hi Josie, thanks for popping by and leaving a comment. Loving the new curtains. You'd have thought Laura Ashley would have been better quality though. x
