Ladybird

You all know about my love of Ladybird books so imagine my surprise on Tuesday when my sister gave me this!




She found it in a charity shop & thought I would like it...... too damn right I do!!!
It's been on my Amazon wish list for 4 years waiting for someone to buy it for me for Christmas or my birthday.

I've been saving it until my day off & squealed with delight when I started looking through!



Pat was always my favourite as a child...... no surprise!

It's a lovely book which brings back many memories :)

    I want that book too! I actually remember when shops closed on a Sunday unless you were the little sweet shop on the corner which closed about 12noon or 1pm. Shops didn't open at Bank Holidays either!!

    I was given that book for Christmas the other year - its wonderful isn't it - full of childhood memories :)

    what a fabulous book! And I love the sound of that Sunday, how perfect. And the way that things should be I believe. I try really hard not to go to the shops on a Sunday, just to walk my talk that there should be a proper day of rest, just as the book describes.
